Nutrition and Weight Loss

So happy to start out my Nutritional Series with a bang! I believe I’m starting with a topic that is on all of our minds…..healthy weight loss!  Please continue reading to see what has worked for a lot of people!
In today’s fast paced society, maintaining a consistent exercise routine is difficult for some….especially those of us with little ones!  For this reason, I have recommended a nutritional program to a number of individuals looking for a healthy and gradual way to lose weight.
One of the main ingredients that aids in weight loss in this particular program is the organic decaffeinated green tea. Please note that I said “decaffeinated”! I’m not much of a caffeine drinker so I was pleased about that as many of you may be as well. I’m also not much of a tea drinker, so I was pleased to find it in a liquid supplemental product that also includes all of the needed vitamins, essential minerals and antioxidants we need in a day. Check out below to see what it is about this miraculous green tea that helps us shed a few extra pounds:

1) Green tea revs up your metabolism
A study reported on in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that green tea extract resulted in a significant increase in energy expenditure (a metabolism 'boost').
The researchers also concluded that that over a 24-hour period, green tea extract increases the metabolic rate by 4%. These effects are probably due to the high concentrations of catechin polyphenols found in green tea. These work to help intensify levels of fat oxidation and thermogenesis (the rate at which your body burns calories).
2) Green tea inhibits fat absorption and helps glucose regulation
Experts tell us that the catechins in green tea help to inhibit the movement of glucose into fat cells. Green tea may also act as al glucose regulator. It helps to slow the rise in blood sugar after a meal. This prevents high insulin spikes (lots of insulin promotes fat storage) and the subsequent fat storage.
3) Green tea may help reduce appetite
Scientists at the University of Chicago found that green tea caused rats to lose up to 21 percent of their body weight. Rats injected with a green tea extract lost their appetites and consumed up to 60 percent less food after seven days of daily injections. This may have something to do with the blood sugar regulating effects of green tea.

Happy Birthday to me!

How did I celebrate my birthday you ask?
Daniel and I shared a double booth in the Business Expo this past weekend! It was SO MUCH FUN! It was fun to work side-by-side with Daniel and watch him "in action" talking to people interested in investing with us! We both had a TON of interest and got to meet so many fun people! I've already signed a few people up and haven't even gone though half of the list yet! It is truly the "Health Revolution" as they call it. The other exhibitors were great and we plan to keep in touch with many of them! It was really fun to get so much interest and meet other business-minded people.

So since I'm super busy following up with all of the people who were interested in the products and Business opportunity, this post will be short and sweet! Check out the pics below!
Notice how Daniel's "half" of the double booth is probably more like a quarter of the size? LOL What can I say? I had more marketing materials!!
Me and Diane rocking it up at the Expo. Great Birthday even though I was "working"! This is my kind of job!
My "half"! Notice the little cocktail table for the sampling...I had a lot of compliments on that idea :)
Do you see the resemblance between the real me and the cartoon me in my banner? Teehee!

Good times were had by all! And just for fun, I'll fill ya in on what Taeya has been up to these days....all it takes is a picture!

That's my girl!!

Have a wonderful day full of health and happiness :) Stay tuned for the giveaway! Once things slow down a bit I'll get on it and get that organized!!

This poem is a perfect fit for what my last post was all about! Enjoy!

The Comfort Zone
I used to have a comfort zone... where I knew I could not fail...
The same four walls and busy work.... were really more like jail...
I longed so much to do the things...I'd never done before...
But, I stayed inside my comfort Zone... and paced the same old floor.

I said it didn't matter...that I wasn't doing much...
I said I didn't care for things...like diamonds... cars.... and such.
I claimed to be so busy... with the things inside my zone
but, deep inside... I longed...for some victory of my own.

I couldn't let my life go by... just watching others win.
I held my breath... and stepped outside... to let the change begin...
I took a step.... and with a strength, I'd never felt before....
I kissed my comfort Zone good bye.... and closed and locked the door.

If you are in a comfort Zone... afraid to venture out.....
Remember that all winners, at one time were filled with doubt.
A step or two, and words of praise, can make your dreams come true....
so, greet your future with a smile... Success is there for you.

Time flies when you're having fun!

Hello again!
First off, I have to tell you all how proud I am that I was able to figure out how to post another entry on this blog!! Yeah me!!
As some of you may know, our fifth anniversary is tomorrow! Time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe it's already been five years! Ever since Daniel and I were dating, we always had big dreams of working for ourselves and becoming financially free (where our passive income would cover all of our expenses... which means we are free to spend as much time with our family as we want). It's so fun to be able to reflect back on our five years and realize that we are making good progress toward accomplishing our big dreams. We've purchased over 13 rental properties personally, we own a successful investment corporation together, and each own our own businesses as sole proprietors. We know we are "outside the box" kind of people! That's what makes us US! It's so fun :)
We had a great time celebrating our anniversary in Banff, went snowboarding, got a crazy goggle tan, spent the next day in the spa....life is good!
These next couple of weeks are going to be busy as usual for us! Daniel may be headed to Chicago on business to check out some revenue properties there. I'm going to be busy getting ready for our booth in the Business Expo coming up on May 14th (my birthday). Daniel will be representing our Investment Property Corporation, and I will be promoting a nutritional supplement that I have researched and often recommend to people as a great way to stay nutritionally balanced in today's fast paced society. Check out more info on the products I promote here.
